1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit and reads again on later visits. We treat similar technologies the same way — for example the browser's local storage (local storage, session storage), pixels or third-party scripts. Where we say “cookies”, we mean these too.

2. What this website stores

This website uses only one strictly necessary cookie — cookie_suhlas, which remembers that you closed the cookie banner with “Got it”, so we don't show it on every visit. It contains no ID and no personal data.

If you switch to light or dark mode yourself, your browser remembers that choice in local storage (hlasai-tema) so the page looks the same on your next visit. Nothing is stored unless you click the switch, and the value is never sent anywhere.

The enquiry form stores nothing on your device — the page keeps its anti-bot protection code only in memory while it is open. The website does not use analytics or marketing cookiesand loads nothing from third parties — fonts, recordings and the sound-wave data come from our own server. That is why we don't ask for consent; the banner only informs you.

3. Voice samples

When you play a sample, the recording plays in your browser and its sound is broken down there into the frequencies that draw the sound wave. Nothing is stored, sent back or recorded.

4. Legal basis

Storing information on your device is governed by Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, as amended by Act No. 297/2025 Coll. No consent is required for what is strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested. We use the necessary cookie under this exemption; we do not rely on legitimate interest for cookies.

If we ever add analytics, marketing or other optional cookies (or third-party content such as a map or a video), they will run only after your active consent in the banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and we will update this policy beforehand. Consent would last at most 12 months; closing the banner with the × or the Esc key would count as a refusal.

The exception would be the Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection for the form (switched off today). If we switch it on, it will load only when you start filling in the enquiry form — not when the page opens — as a necessary part of the submission you asked for. Before switching it on we will add it to this policy and to the privacy policy.

5. How to show the banner again or delete the cookie

You can reopen the banner at any time with the Cookie settings button (also in the footer of every page). You can also view, block or delete cookies in your browser:

• Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
• Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
• Safari: Settings → Privacy
• Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

After you delete the cookie, the banner will appear again on your next visit; the website works either way.

6. Your rights and supervisory authorities

You have rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. — in particular access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection. Details in the privacy policy. You can exercise them at vass@vassweb.com.
